« In the Porsche vernacular, Luftgekühlt represents all the air-cooled cars in the the manufacturer’s history, from the Pre-A 356 through the 993 model line, which ended in 1998. More specifically, Luftgekühlt is the brainchild of two-time Le Mans class winner Patrick Long and noted Southern California creative director Howie Idelson. »

A true Porsche happening. Brought to you by VINCENT PERRAUD.

Merci Vince Perraud.

70 BEAUTIFUL, HI-RES PICTURES FROM LUFTGEKÜHLT 3

« As most of you know, this past weekend was the 3rd gathering known as Luftgekühlt. The brainchild of Patrick Long and Howie Idelson, the event is quickly becoming one of the best and most interesting Porsche specific shows in the world. When I arrived at the show, just before 8:00 am, I was talking with Chad McQueen as we walked into where the cars would be staged. It quickly became apparent that I was one of only a few photographers allowed in at that stage and for that I’m eternally grateful. There’s not much else to say, other than we appreciate the access, thought the show was incredible and can’t wait until next year. We’ll have more pictures for you later in the week, but for now enjoy this first batch. These are all hi-resolution so please be patient as they load. Click any image for the full size version and use the « x » in the top left corner to come back to the post when you’re done. »
