The poor-man’s Porsche isn’t for poor men anymore, but it’s still gorgeous.
I’ve always had a soft spot for the Porsche family outcasts.
Cars like the 914, Cayenne, and Panamera make me smile a little, if for no other reason than they ruffle purist feathers. The 912 falls firmly into that category. Despite having all the lines of its more lust-worthy 911 sibling, the 912 always found itself looked down upon by the Porsche faithful.
The winds have slowly shifted, and 912 values have skyrocketed over the past five years along with just about everything else with a red, black, and gold crest on the hood.
Petrolicious stopped in to chat with Julien Borne about his 1967 912. his car is a thing of absolute beauty, and Borne has more than a few choice words about what makes the thing so special.
